Jane Johnson

Mrs. Jane Carolyn Sapp Johnson died peacefully at Hospice and Palliative Care Center on Friday, September 29, 2017. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother to her family. Carolyn graduated from Glen High School in 1958. She was a resident of Kernersville. She worked at Gospel Light Christian School as an instructional assistant while her children attended school there. She also worked at Triad Dental Studio in Greensboro for about fifteen years. Carolyn was a longtime member of Triad Baptist Church, and the co-founder of "Grief Share" Ministry at her home church. Her husband Charles "Chuck" Albert Johnson, Sr. preceded her to Glory nine years ago.
She leaves behind her son, Charles Albert (C.A.) Johnson, Jr. and his wife Judy, and daughter Cynthia Anne Johnson Mullins and her husband Alvin. A sister, Phyllis Carlyle and her husband Wayne, a brother, Eddie Sapp, and his wife Susan. She was a grandmother to six grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren, and a very special friend of eight years to Robert Sell of Walkertown, who was by her side through her illness.
A Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Triad Baptist Church by Dr. Rob Decker and Rev. Eddie Sapp. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the Johnson family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice and Palliative Care Center at 101 Hospice Lane Winston Salem, NC 27103.
Carolyn will be missed by all of her family and many, many, friends. It's "goodbye" for now, but we will be reunited again someday.
