James "Corey" Jefferson

Mr. James “Corey” Jefferson, 47, of Pinnacle, NC, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 27, 2022, as a result of an automobile accident.  Corey was born in Forsyth County on November 24, 1974.  He graduated from Glenn High School in 1994 and attended Forsyth Technical Community College.  Corey was currently employed as a courier for the Forsyth County Public Library.  He loved attending races at Bowman Gray Stadium with his son.  He really enjoyed puzzles of all kinds.  Corey was a Christian and a man of deep faith.  Corey was preceded in death by his father, James Martin Jefferson; paternal grandparents, Conley and Opal Jefferson; and maternal grandparents, Wright and Carrie Griffin.  He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Kimberly Jefferson; son, James Tyler “J.T.” Jefferson; his mother, Judy Jefferson Prater; two brothers, Brian Love and Eric Jefferson (Genia); and several nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Scott Phillips and Pastor Steve Roberson officiating.  Interment will follow at Gospel Light Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:45 – 1:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.  Corey was a loving husband, father, son and brother.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
