James Russell Wilson

Kernersville - Mr. James Russell Wilson, 77, passed away Monday, September 7, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born May 29, 1932, in Richmond County, NC, to the late Reid and Gladys Jones Wilson. James was a loving father and an avid Baseball and Nascar fan. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his sister, Inez Sears. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Helen Rushing Wilson, of Kernersville; one daughter, Sharon Floyd (Joe) of Kernersville; one son, James Michael Wilson of Kernersville; four grandchildren, Clint Head, David Morris and Amanda Cooper; six great-grandchildren and several nieces. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, September 10, 2009, at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Jim Bowen officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory.
