WALKERTOWN-James Frank Williams, 91, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015. He was born June 18, 1923 in Davie Co.; lovingly raised by Lee and Cora Williams, and Carl and Myrtle Williams.
Mr. Williams was of the Methodist faith. He was a WWII Army Veteran having served in the Normandy Invasion, Battle of the Bulge and the Liberation of Buchenwald Concentration Camp and he was the recipient of the Bronze Star.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Annie Fulp Williams.
Surviving are his daughter, Beverly Bednarik and husband, Michael, of Charlotte.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Phillip Wagoner officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2015 at the funeral home.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Tracy Tally, Cathy and Randy Nelson, Amber Nelson, Matt and Aimee Nelson, Leigh Hollars, Teresa Evans, and Jennifer Ritchey for all of the care given to Mr. Williams.
A special thank you to Wayne and Betty Fulp, Anne and Bob Lineberry, Jenny Morris and the staff at Hospice and Palliative Care Center.
