James "Jimmy" Eugene Whitman

Mr. James ""Jimmy"" Eugene Whitman, age 58 of Pfafftown passed away Monday evening, December 7, 2015 at his home. Jimmy was born in Forsyth County, December 20, 1956 to Robah James Whitman and Ina Lucille Shamel Whitman. He was of the Methodist faith and retired from the NCDOT. In addition to his parents Jimmy was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Dale Whitman. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Laura M. Whitman of the home. One daughter, Wendy (Mitchell) Whitman-Gray of Pfafftown. One step-grandchild, Chase Gray. One sister, Ann (Harold) Owens of Tobaccoville and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday afternoon, December 12, 2015 at 4:00 P.M. at Jimmy's residence. The family will receive friends at the home Saturday from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Brenner's Children Hospital, 300 Medical Center Blvd, Winston-Salem, NC 27157.
