James Andrew Whicker

KERNERSVILLE-James Andrew Whicker, 86, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at his home. He was born November 24, 1922 in Forsyth Co. to the late John Elijah and Augusta Pegram Whicker. Mr. Whicker was an avid hunter and he loved to fish. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Flora Wright Whicker of the home; three children, Thomas Ray Whicker, Paul Edward Whicker, and Joann Whicker Royal; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Thursday, January 15, 2009 at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory Mausoleum Chapel with Dr. Jerry Gibbons officiating. Hayworth Miller Funeral Home Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
