James Jim Clifton Warner

Mr. James ""Jim"" Clifton Warner, 86, of Clemmons passed away Saturday, September 11, 2010 at his home. He was born in Forsyth County on August 4, 1924 to Clifton Douthit and Lula Elizabeth Hauser Warner. Mr. Warner was a member of Warner's Chapel Church of Christ where he served as a Deacon for many years. He owned and operated North End Garage and later B&L Garage where he retired. Mr. Warner was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 60 years, Alta Faye Warner; a brother Vernon Warner; and a sister, Pansy W. Tuttle. Mr. Warner is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Warner Landreth of Clemmons; three sons, Roger A. Warner and wife Leslie, J. Keith Warner and wife Sandra, and Randy T. Warner and wife Linda, all of Clemmons; seven grandchildren, Tammy Simmons, Mark Warner, Melanie Peden, Adam and Joseph Warner, Sabrina Simpson and David Warner; eight great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and two sisters, Dorothy Pegram and Josephine Young. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 am Monday, September 13, 2010 at Warner's Chapel Church of Christ with Frank Shepherd and Dennis Conner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 pm-9 pm Sunday, September 12, 2010 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorials may be made to N.C.
