James Monroe Wall, Sr.

KERNERSVILLE - Mr. James Monroe Wall, Sr., 75, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015. James was born on June 4, 1940 in Forsyth County to James Smith and Bernice Bates Wall. James was a veteran of the US Navy and served his country proudly. He loved his wife, family and the Lord. James enjoyed fishing and was blessed with the strength to go on his last fishing trip on his 75th birthday. He was also the biggest fan of his son's softball team, The Finzer Roller Jabronis and had a special place in his heart for his canine companion ""Pookie"".

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his son, Sam Wall; three brothers, Bruce Wall, Kim Wall and Tony Wall.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara Wall, of the home; son, James ""Bill"" Wall, Jr. (wife, Dale); Daughter, Karen Lundquist (husband Wayne); 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and brother, Wayne Wall.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Loves United Methodist Church in Walkertown with Rev. Roger Pinnix officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:30PM prior to the service at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.

The family would like to send a special thanks to Hospice & Palliative Care Staff for their loving care. The continuous care nurses were truly angels.
