James "Mac" McCoy Wall

Mr. James ""Mac"" McCoy Wall, 86, of Pinnacle, passed away Monday, January 12, 2015.

Mac was born July 26, 1928 to the late Robie Wall and Mary Tuttle Wall. A member of the U.S. Army, he served during the Korean Conflict and on December 25, 1946, married his wife Marie, who precedes him in death. Mac retired after 30 years of service as a traffic engineer for the City of Winston-Salem. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mavis Stiers and Margaret Tuttle, brother, Melvin Wall, and brother-in-law, Roy Tucker.

Mac is survived by his daughter, Tina Compton and husband Russ of Lexington; grandchildren, Megan Compton Wood and husband Chris of Winston-Salem and Haley Compton of Brooklyn, NY; sister-in-law, Anna Whapham; nieces, Kay Hammock and Marlene Pegram; and nephews, Jerry Wall and Dale Wall.

A celebration of Mac's life will be held Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 2pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1 pm - 1:45 pm prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Forsyth Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
