James Herbert Vickers

Mr. James Herbert Vickers, 67 of Advance, died Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born September 25, 1942 in Forsyth County to the late James Robert Kent Vickers and Nettie Ruth Lowe Vickers. Mr. Vickers had retired from National Welders Supply and later from Modern Chevrolet and had been a member of the APHC since 1979 and Horses were his passion. He is survived by his wife, Karen Cook Vickers of the home; two sons, Mike Vickers and wife Kelly of Belews Creek and Brandon Vickers and wife Melissa of Winston-Salem and three grandchildren, Zach, Maddie and Stella Vickers and a special niece and nephew, Meghan and Mitch Cook. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Westlawn Gardens of Memory by Rev. Gary Elrod.
