Mr. James Ted Trull, 81, of Winston-Salem passed away Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Trull was born in Union County on July 11, 1929 to Preston Carlyle and Ethel Davis Trull. He attended Wingate Junior College and graduated from Appalachian State University. Mr. Trull was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member of Ardmore United Methodist Church where he created and led the Tape Ministry. He was also an active member of the Winston-Salem Exchange Club. Mr. Trull was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Dolores Jones Trull, and two brothers, Neil and Boyd Trull. He is survived by a daughter, Martha Culbreth of Winston-Salem; two sons Jim Trull and wife Sandy of Apex, and Joe Trull and wife Heidi of Belton, SC; four grandchildren Andrew, Nathan, and Thomas Trull, and Brandon Culbreth; and a brother Wayne Trull. A memorial service will be conducted 2:00 pm Monday, January 31, 2011 at Salemtowne with the Chaplain Linda Browne, Rev. Donald Funderburk, and Rev. Jock Ollis officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salemtowne Resident Assistance Fund, 1000 Salemtowne Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27106 or Ardmore United Methodist Church, 630 South Hawthorne Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
