James Edward Spach, 91, Greensboro, NC, passed away February 11, 2015.
James was born in Winston-Salem, NC September 2, 1923 to the late Robah and Virginia Spach. He graduated from Griffith High School, Winston-Salem, NC in 1941. He retired from Ilco Unican Corp. formerly Bassick-Sack Co. in 1988 after 40 years of service as a supervisor. In his retirement he enjoyed gardening, home improvement, spending time with his family and volunteering at Sunnyside Ministries. He and his wife, Annie, were active members of Bethesda Moravian Church. He was totally devoted to God and his family and was a loving and caring father, husband and father-in-law. He will be missed more than words can express.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Swaim Spach; daughter Carol Spach Fifield, son-in-law Barry Andrew Fifield, grand-dog Lia Fifield; sister Elizabeth Spach Smith; brother William S. Spach and wife Avis; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Spach and Sybilla Spach; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will be receiving friends at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home, 3315 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC from 6 to 8 pm, Friday, February 13, 2015. The funeral service will be held at Parklawn Memorial Gardens, 2730 Peters Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC at 2 pm on February 14, 2015.
In lieu of flowers, donations in James' name can be made to Bethesda Moravian Church, 740 Bethesda Rd. Winston- Salem, NC 27103 or to Forsyth Humane Society, 61 Miller St. Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
