James Joseph Shipe Jr.

James “Jamie” Joseph Shipe Jr., 48, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023. He was born in Fort Lauderdale, FL, on September 5, 1975, to James Joseph Shipe Sr. and Wendy Lucas James. Jamie enjoyed the little things in life. He enjoyed watching football, particularly the Miami Dolphins, as well as races. He was known for his skills in cornhole and darts. There was no sport that Jamie could not play. He was happiest when he was fishing, and when he was with his family. Jamie loved his family immensely, spending time with his children was the highlight of many days for him. He was incredibly sociable and could make friends wherever he went. He leaves behind a special friend, Heather Skeen, and many other friends- too many to count.

In addition to his grandparents, Jamie is preceded in death by two uncles, Donald Shipe and William Shipe.

In addition to his parents, left to cherish his memory are his children, Carsyn Shipe, Kabri Eastwood, Khloe Eastwood, Kallista Brown, Levi Marshall, Emily White, Tyler White, and Tarah McCraw; his soulmate Krista McCraw; step mother, Glenda Shipe; grandchild Ariah Neal; brothers, John Rock, Rob Rock (Kelly), and Dylan Shipe (Katelyn); a sister, Alyssa Shipe; niece Jasmine Rock; nephews Cory Rock and Lucas James; as well as many other extended family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 17, 2023, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Mike Isaacson officiating.
