James Edward Scott

SCOTT James""Buddy"",""Yogi"" Edward Scott,85 died on January 21,2012.He was born April 8,1926. He served God ,his family, his church ,his country ,and others. He had a relationship to God by believing that Jesus died for his sins ,was raised to life, and will return . He was a faithful and loving husband to his wife Lillie for 58 years , and a wonderful and providing father to his two daughters ,Sharon and Debbie . He was a ""special"" paw paw to Sarah Farina, Hallie Humphries, Austin Humphries,Jessica and David Boyer. He served Pleasant View Baptist Church as Deacon and all around go to guy. He served in the United States Army from 1950-1952. He was giving and caring toward others .He worked at Sara Lee for 37 years before retirement. He loved Atlanta Braves baseball He is survived by his wife Lillie, his daughters Sharon and Debbie, and son in law Gary. He will be missed but we will see him again. Memorials to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home,101 Hospice Lane ,Winston-Salem,N.C. or Gideons,International. Visitation will be at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home Silas Creek location on Sunday Jan.22 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral will be held at Pleasant View Baptist Church at 1200 Pleasant View Dr. Winston-Salem on Monday Jan. 23 at 2:00 pm with Pastor David Harman and graveside service afterward at New Home Church of Christ in Dobson,N.C.Special Thanks to 8th Pulmonary,2nd GI unit,Pallitive Care Unit at Forsyth Medical Center as well as Dr.Dan Murphy,Dr.Thomas Grote,andDr. Jason Thomason and all our Friends and neighbors during this difficult time.
