James William Salmons

Mr. James W. Salmons, 75, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at his home. He was born in Yadkin County to the late Evella Cozart Salmons and George Clark Salmons. James served his country in the United States Army and retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. with 34 years of service. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his very precious jewel and ""his reason for living"", Robin Lynn Salmons, who died August 22, 2005. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Texie Lou Joyner and two brothers, Leonard and Ray Salmons. James is survived by his wife and best friend, Emma J. Salmons, two sisters, Ruth Esterlene Hoots and Vaudelene Doss both of Yadkinville, two brothers, George C. Salmons and N. Gray Salmons both of Winston-Salem, two very special nieces, Barbara Fox and Debra Vernon as well as many other nieces, nephews and friends. A private graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. Memorials may be made to; The Western Chapter, Alzheimer's Association, 545 N.
