James Augustine Augie" Reid

Mr. James Augustine ""Augie"" Reid, 74, of Winston-Salem died Friday, June 18, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Reid was born in Surry County on August 1, 1935 to the late Nathaniel H. and Leola Hauser Reid. He was a member of Bethlehem Church and retired from Coca-Cola Consolidated with 42 years of service. Mr. Reid is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Sanders Reid of the home, a daughter, Beth Hartman and husband Andrew of Winston-Salem; a son, Greg Reid and wife Shellie of Winston-Salem; four beloved grandchildren, Katie, Savannah, and Cassidy Reid, and McKenna Hartman; a sister, Imogene Cain and husband Jim of Winston-Salem; a brother, Hauser Reid of Winston-Salem; a special niece, Terri Winfree; a great niece, Ashley Winfree; and three special friends, Arnold Harper, Joe Craver, and Alan Clinard. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Bethlehem Church with the Rev. Aaron Long officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Monday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
