Mr. James Kelvin Poindexter, 45, of Winston-Salem, passed away at his residence. He was born March 14, 1964 in Forsyth County to T.W. and Sylvia Barney Poindexter. Mr. Poindexter was a graduate of Forsyth Country Day School in 1982 and from UNC at Chapel Hill in 1988. He was a very talented artist. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hayden and Alice Barney, and J. Roy and Bertha Poindexter; aunt and uncle, J.R. and Juanita Poindexter. Surviving are his parents; a sister, Debbie (Randy) Hunter, and children, Patrick Alex and Mollie; a brother, Tom (Cindy) Poindexter, and son, Chris; aunts and uncles, Shirley and Bobby Russell, John and Martha Barney; and several cousins. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 5 at Forsyth Memorial Park with Brother Bobby Russell officiating.
