James Gregory Parks

Mr. James Gregory Parks, 47, of Clemmons passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born February 23, 1962 in Forsyth County to David and Francis Lunsford Parks. Mr. Parks was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the U.S Navy. He served in Desert Storm, Desert Shield, Ciera Lion, and Granada. He enjoyed fishing, reading books and was an avid outdoors lover. He was preceded in death by his father. Surviving are his wife, Crystal Parks of Clemmons; three sons, James, Zack and Daniel, all of Clemmons; two daughters, Sara of Winston-Salem and Elizabeth of Midway; three grandchildren, Olivia, Lohgan and Leila; his mother, Fran Parks Martin and his stepfather, Don Martin; two brothers, Jeff and D.J., both of Welcome; two step brothers, Von and Lex; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, December 17 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. ""Remember the good times."" Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
