James Pardue

Mr. James Bueford (JB) Pardue, 77, of Winston-Salem passed away Monday, December 8, 2008 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born September 1, 1931 in Yadkin County to Charlie James and Versie Stanley Pardue. Mr. Pardue was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp serving in the Korean War as part of the 1st Calvary, where he was the recipient of two purple hearts. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Helen Blackburn Pardue; four daughters, Suzan Wade of Florida, Renee Kasper (Frank) of South Carolina, Amy Haire (Eddie) of Winston-Salem, Tracey Nelson (Dale) of King; a son, Scott Pardue (Barbara) of Georgia; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three brothers, Charlie Pardue (Barbara) of King, David Pardue (Betty Gray) of Advance, Taylor Pardue (Kim) of Oklahoma; a sister, Jerry Sloop (Jimmy) of Georgia. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday at First Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Tim Wolfe officiating. Military Rites will be presented by the VFW Memorial Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers and food, memorials may be made to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, W-S, N.C. 27103.
