James Bennett Morgan

Mr. James Bennett Morgan, 82, passed away January 13, 2013 at Regency Care in Clemmons. He was born May 25, 1930 in Forsyth County to the late John Harm Morgan and Lela Harding Morgan. Mr. Morgan attended Elm Grove United Methodist Church and was retired from B. F. Goodrich with over 20 years of service. He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Ann Buie and Pat Montgomery and a brother Roger Morgan. He is survived by his wife Wanda Templeton Morgan; two sons, James Gregory Morgan and wife Jan, and Chris Bennett Morgan and wife Dee, both of Kingsport, TN. Four grandchildren, Anna Morgan, Matthew Morgan and wife Rachel, Carissa Morgan, Josh Morgan and wife Meaghan; three great-grandchildren, Mira Morgan, Ian Morgan, and Hailie Roder; two brothers, Ron Morgan of Clemmons and Billy Joe Morgan and wife Brenda of King; a sister, Janie Dalka of Arkansas. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Thursday January 16, 2013 at Elm Grove United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jeff Hamrick officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00pm until 5:00pm on Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Regency Care for their care and compassion for Mr. Morgan.
