Mr. James Wilson Minnish, Jr. of Winston-Salem, NC passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2011. Mr. Minnish was born October 25, 1926 in Forsyth County to the late James Wilson Minnish, Sr. and Maggie Sprinkle Minnish. James was a US Merchant Marine Veteran, serving during World War II and later retired as a driver for McLean Trucking Company. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ethel Gilbert Minnish and two grandsons, Donald Ray Hill and Todd Eric Minnish. Surviving are his children Mary Ann Minnish and her husband Wayne Harris of Statesville, NC, James Eric Minnish and his wife Roxanne of Wylie, TX and Tonyia Minnish Mickey of Winston-Salem; his grandchildren, Charles A. Mickey, III, Jennifer Lee Mickey and Tyler James Minnish, and great-grandchildren; Addison Mickey, Alexis Minnish and Jayden Minnish. A graveside Service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Forsyth Memorial Park with Rev. Carl Southerland officiating. The family wishes to thank Bermuda Commons in Advance and the second floor GI staff at Forsyth Hospital for the care and support given to Mr. Minnish and family.
