Mr. James Hurdle Miller passed away Thursday evening April 1, 2010 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. James was born in Forsyth County on July 10, 1921 to the late John and Bertha Cook Miller. James was a member at Salem Baptist Church. He retired from Forsyth County Sheriffs department with 20 years of service. James was acting Sergeant in the 8th Air Corp, which was attached to the 495th Airborne Division during WWII. He is preceded in death by wife Mary Elizabeth Miller and brother Jack Miller. James is survived by a son Mark Howell Miller; sister June Nifong of Clemmons; and brother Billy Gray Miller of Florida. Also numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday April 6, 2010 at Salem Baptist Church with Dr. Howard Wilburn officiating. Burial will follow the service at Forsyth Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 6-9 PM Monday April 5, 2010 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek. Online condolences can be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
