WINSTON-SALEM-Mr. James Michael Marmet, 64, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Marmet was born on September 2, 1950 in New York to the late Herbert Raymond Marmet and Agnes O'Brien Marmet. James served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He retired from Cemex Concrete Company in Winston-Salem. Mr. Marmet is survived by his wife, Eva Marmet of the home; one son, Kevin Marmet and wife, Candace of Winston-Salem; one grandson, Brayden Marmet; two sisters, Rosemary View and husband, Edward and Kathleen Moynihan and husband, Dave, all of Mohawk, NY; one brother, Kenneth Marmet of Penn Yan, NY; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 23, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Kevin L. Kilbreth officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
