James Cooper MacLachlan, Jr.

James Cooper MacLachlan Jr., Jim to his friends, passed peacefully from this life into eternity on March 12, 2016 after a short battle with pneumonia. He celebrated his 90 birthday January 4th with his family. He was proceeded in death by his wife Ida and is survived by his 3 sons, Lachie, Ian, and Angus; daughters-in-law Gina and Jennifer; 1 grandson, Robin, 3 granddaughters, Mary, Bethany, and Lily, as well as 2 Great-Granddaughters, Kohl and Eleanor. Jim spent most of his professional life at R.J. Reynolds Industries. He was a founding member of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church. He was also one of the founders and presidents of the Clan MacLachlan Association of North America. Funeral services will be held Sunday April 3rd 2016 at 3 P.M. in the chapel of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 2575 Parkway Dr, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be made to Crisis Control Ministry, 200 E. Tenth St., Winston-Salem, N.C. 27101.
