Mr. James Lyle “Jim” Perdue, 64, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at his home.  He was born July 24, 1955 in Forsyth County to the late Julius Perdue and Margie Faye Blackburn Perdue.  Mr. Perdue proudly served his country in both the United States Marine Corps. and the United States Army.  He was awarded the Bronze Star medal for his service in Operation Desert Storm.  Mr. Perdue continued his service and retired from the Army.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Perdue was preceded in death by one brother, David Perdue.  He is survived by his life-partner, Sylvie Leah Haddix; four siblings: Julius Perdue, Bertha Griffin, Beth Cox, and Gaynell Billings; also, several nieces, nephews, and extended family.  The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, February 9, at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.  In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project, 1990 Fordham Drive, Suite 100, Fayetteville, NC 28304.
