James Cornelius Johnson

KERNERSVILLE - Mr. James Cornelius Johnson, 83, of Kernersville, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born January 8, 1928 in Forsyth County to Paul and Irene Hester Johnson. James was a member of Crews United Methodist Church and served in the US Marines. In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by a daughter Anita Faye Johnson. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Wilma Johnson, of the home; sister-in-law, Wanda Parham (husband, Richard) Belews Creek; sister-in-law, Evelyn Beeson; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Monday June 6, 2011 at Crews United Methodist Church with Rev Brian Crady officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the Church Fellowship Hall.
