James "Jim" Justice Loy

Mr. James “Jim” Justice Loy, 86, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at his residence. He was born in Forsyth County on January 30, 1938, to Clyde and Carlene Preston Loy. Jim enjoyed spending his time bowling and working on classic cars. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was a member of American Legion Post 1981. Jim also loved watching old westerns and war movies. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Jeanette “Jan” Loy; one son, Jeffery Loy; and one grandson, Zachary Loy.

He is survived by one daughter, Lesa Loy; three sons, Mike Loy (wife, Angie), Barry Loy and David Loy (wife, Teresa); several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Jim will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Mr. Don Smith officiating. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Gur Cemetery.
