James Hilton Jessup

Mr. James Hilton Jessup, 79, passed away Friday, February 19, 2016, at Brighton Gardens Assisted Living. He was born to the late Geneva Cook Jessup and Aldie Jessup on February 24, 1936, in Richmond, VA. James served in The United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Stanleyville. James is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Norma Jones Jessup; Son, Dennis Combs (Judy) of King, NC.; Daughter, Donna Norman (Mike) of Lewisville, NC.; Three Grandchildren, Stacey Combs, Mikela Norman, Cody Norman; one Great Grandchild, Catherine Harper; Two sisters, Rachel Jessup Hazelwood, Marjorie Jessup Simmons. A Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 22, 2016 at Stanleyville Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Honeycutt officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, February 21, 2016, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to First Baptist Church of Stanleyville, 851 Ziglar Rd. Winston-Salem, NC, 27105.
