James "J.C." Williams, Jr.

Mr. James “J.C.” Williams Jr., 90, passed away August 10, 2023, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born September 23, 1932, in Scotland County, NC, to the late James Claude Williams and Carrie Smith Williams. Everyone who met J.C. describes him as a kindhearted, loving man. He was a sociable individual and enjoyed conversing and getting to know new people. His goal in life was to touch as many people as possible and leave everyone better than when he met them. J.C. was wealthy in wisdom when it came to just about everything, especially with his family. He was dedicated to his faith and attended church regularly at Central Baptist Church. J.C. was truly a special person and will be missed by friends, family, and those who knew him.  

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Jo Ann Solomon Williams, one sister, Jo Ann Edwards, and his son, Mark Williams.

Left to cherish his memory are one daughter, Kimberly W. Carter, and her husband Vernon B. Carter of Oak Ridge, five grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Central Baptist Church with Pastor Roy Carter and Pastor David Miller officiating. A private family burial will follow the service. A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
