Mr. James “Jamie” Robert Schrock, 42, passed away unexpectedly on April 16, 2025, at his home in Charlotte, NC.
Jamie was born on December 3, 1982, to Pamela Hamby Schrock Carroll and Jonathan Roy “Jon” Schrock in Forsyth County, NC. Throughout his childhood, Jamie was a loving son, a good student and excelled at several sports throughout his youth.
Jamie graduated from North Davidson High School in 2001, and then from Surry Community College in 2003. He then attended Bluefield University on a baseball scholarship and continued to develop his athletic skill.
In addition to his accomplishments as an athlete, Jamie was also an exceptional writer, and he loved to read. His sense of humor and contagious laugh often made those around him smile.
Throughout his life, Jamie maintained a steadfast faith in God. He attended various churches throughout the Winston-Salem and Charlotte areas, eventually becoming an ordained minister with the hope of helping others.
Above all, Jamie loved being a father. Even while fighting difficult personal battles, he remained focused on putting his children first, as nothing mattered to him more than his two boys.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Barbara Schrock; and his maternal grandmother, Norma Wilkes Schultz.
Those left to cherish Jamie’s memory include his mother, Pam Carroll; his father, Jon (Kristy) Schrock; his two sons, Jameson Riley Schrock, and his mother, Lindsey Page (Jon) Bernard; Jackson Matthew Schrock, and his mother, Sarah (Nick) Ward; maternal grandfather, John Hamby; sister, Melissa Deskins; step-brother, Tyler (Torie) Mastrogianakis; nieces, Zoe and Willow Deskins; aunt, Jennifer (Joe) Felton; cousins, Heather Field, Grace Collins and Jacob Felton; and many special friends who he loved dearly.
