James Jim Pinkney Hicks

Mr. James ""Jim"" Pinkney Hicks, 66, of Bermuda Run passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born December 27, 1942 in Catawba County to Buford and Orene Drum Hicks. Jim was a graduate of Lenoir Rhyne College and was a member of Bermuda Run Country Club and Grand Dunes in Myrtle Beach. He is survived by a daughter, Kathyrn Condrey and husband Joe of Mt. Carmel, TN; a son, Jimmy Hicks and Melinda Boyd of Chapel Hill; a dear and loving companion, Venita Blackwelder; her children, Beth Budd and husband Mark and Will Dwiggins and wife Jen; 6 grandchildren, Paige and Kayla Condrey, Adam and Evan Budd and William and Nicholas Dwiggins. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2009 at Abernathy Memorial United Methodist Church in Newton, NC. Burial will follow at Rose Cemetery in Mocksville.
