James Roland Hendrix

RURAL HALL - Mr. James Roland Hendrix passed away Tuesday, September 07, 2010 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born November 6, 1941 in Forsyth County to the late Webb Lee Hendrix and Roberta Lashmit Hendrix. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hendrix was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret H. Smith and Betty Ann Thompson. Surviving are his wife, Alice Fay E. Hendrix of the home; two daughters, April H. Ware (Marcus) of Rural Hall and Scarlet H. Andrews (Kris) of King; sister, Ruby Veler; and also numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Hendrix also leaves behind his beloved cat, Gutter and grandpets, Kona, Keiko, Sadie, Cricket, Bandit and Molly. A Graveside Service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, September 10 at Rural Hall Memorial Park with Peter Cain, Minister officiating. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or AARF, 311 Harvey Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
