James Hege

James Steven “Steve” Hege, age 73 of Clemmons, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022, after a long battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and emphysema. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Violet C. Hege and daughter, Shannon. Steve was born in Winston-Salem, NC on November 21, 1948, the son of James Alexander Hege and Margaret Landreth Hege. He was a West Forsyth High School graduate. Steve was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and worked for AMP/Tyco incorporated from November 1971-June 1999; Le Bleu from September 1999-June 2004 and at Gallins Vending from June 2004-February 2012. He was a member at Center Grove Church and worked with Boy Scout Troops 770 and 942. At Steve’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may are suggested to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
