James Edward Hartman

Mr. James Edward Hartman, age 67 of Advance, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014. He was born January 4, 1947 in Davie County to the late Alvin and Hazel Shuler Hartman. Mr. Hartman was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by two daughters, Nora McGreevy of Wisconsin, Kate Bennet of Minnesota; two granddaughters: Adelaide and Gwendolyn McGreevy; one sister, Delilah Posey of Advance; one nephew, Christopher H. Posey also of Advance; His Companion of 20 years Linda Martin and ""special grandchildren"": Casey, Landon, Drew, Piper, Darren, Mark and Lindsay and great-grandchildren: Tori, Zoe, Zander, Adelyn and Olivia. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, November 3, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel by, Mr. Wayne Rentz, Mr. Dana Ervin and Rev. Patrick Snow. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Advance United Methodist Church Columbarium at a later date.
