James Ulice Harmon

LEXINGTON, NC-Mr. James Ulice Harmon, 86, of Lexington, NC, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington. Mr. Harmon was born on January 9, 1928 in West Virginia to Andrew R. Harmon and Mamie Elizabeth Dunford Harmon. Preceding Mr. Harmon in death along with his parents was his wife, Betty Jane Harmon. Mr. Harmon is survived by two daughters, Gloria Doyle (Jesse) and Debra Brown (Coleman), both of Lexington, NC; two sons, Bill Harmon (Jeffrey Sherrill) and Robert Harmon, both of Winston-Salem; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 11, 2014 at Parklawn Memorial Park with Pastor Bob McCaskill officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday at the home of Bill Harmon.
