James David “J.D.” Frye

Mr James David ""J.D."" Frye, 70 went to be with his Lord Saturday May 26, 2012 at the Kate B Reynolds Hospice Home. J.D. was born September 5, 1941 in Forsyth Co. to Jesse Frank and Mae Caudle Frye. He was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, Chairman of the Cemetery Committee, Sunday School Teacher and Scoutmaster. J.D. retired from the city of Winston-Salem after 30 years of service. Surviving are his wife Rebecca Harp Frye; His son David Ferlin Frye And His Wife Randi ; His grandchildren David Mitchell Frye and Anna Marie Frye. 2 Sisters Mary Alice Styers, and Wanda Mae Gordon. His Brother Jesse Charles Frye and 2 special brother-in-laws Gray Beckner and Roger Gordon, also many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00 A.M. Monday May 28, 2012 at Mt Carmel United Methodist Church with Rev. Doug Hochmuth and Rev. Joe Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Sunday May 27, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Mt Carmel United Methodist Church cemetery fund 4265 Ebert Road Winston-Salem N.C. 27127 or Relay For Life American Cancer Society 4 Oak Branch Drive Greensboro N.C. 27407.
