James Ray Flynn, 80, of Clemmons, NC passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016. He was born June 16, 1936 in Harnett County to Ray Hardin Flynn and Annie Mae Wright Flynn and was the oldest of 9 children. He married June Elizabeth Ball of Winston-Salem on June 18, 1960. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954-1957. He retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company after 28 years of service. He was a faithful member of Yadkin Valley Baptist Church in Advance, NC where he served in many different capacities during his tenure there. He loved fishing at the coast with his best buddy, James Myers, and also loved NASCAR racing. He is survived and dearly loved by his wife, June Elizabeth Ball Flynn, of the home; his son Ray and wife, Denise Flynn of Clemmons, NC; his son Jeff and wife Christine Flynn of Hamptonville, NC; Granddaughter Laura and husband, Brad Dunaway of Mocksville, NC Granddaughter Ashley and husband, Dudley Raye of Wilmington, NC; Granddaughter Allison Flynn of Clemmons, NC; 3 great-grandchildren- Gage, Madison and Emmy Gray; Siblings- A.G. and wife Sadie Flynn, of Cameron, NC; Gerald and wife Carol Flynn of Orange City, FL; Arnold and wife Frances Flynn of Dobson, NC; Lola and husband Rosser Riggsbee of Randleman, NC; Brenda Brown of Archdale, NC; Dwight and wife Diane Flynn of Swann Station, NC; and Connie Flynn of Spring Lake, NC. Preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Wayne Flynn of Cameron, NC. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 from 2:00-5:00 pm at Yadkin Valley Baptist Church located at 1324 Yadkin Valley Road in Advance, NC 27006. Funeral services to follow at 5:00 pm officiated by the Pastor, Ronnie Craddock. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family would like to express a special thanks to Clemmons Village for the wonderful care he received while at the facility. Funeral services provided by Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home, Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be given to Yadkin Valley Baptist Church or to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 320 Maple Street (P.O.
