James Timothy 'Tim' Edwards

WINSTON-SALEM-Mr. James Timothy ""Tim"" Edwards, 62, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Health Center. Mr. Edwards was born on March 23, 1950 in Forsyth County to the late James Howard Edwards and Hazel Estelle Powell Edwards. He attended Our Father's House Baptist Church where he served as an usher. He was always known for welcoming everyone with open arms and for how sweet and caring he was to everyone he came across. Tim enjoyed fishing and working in his flower beds. Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jennifer Ann Clodfelter Edwards, his parents, one sister, Donna Edwards and his step-mother, Jan Edwards. Surviving Mr. Edwards are his two daughters, Kristi Bugajski (Rafael) of Kernersville, NC and Wendy Spriggs (Richard) of Ronda, NC; four grandsons, Jacob, Noah, Joshua and Micah; one granddaughter, Lauren Ballance; one sister, Judy Brock (J.D.) of Advance, NC; and his beloved cat, Callie. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Jeff Dowell and Rev. Jim Sheridan officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, March 15, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family would like to express a special thanks to the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit and Palliative Care Unit at Wake Forest Baptist Health Center for the compassionate care they provided to Tim during his illness. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Forsyth County, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
