James Paul Dowell

Mr. James Paul Dowell, 77, passed away Monday, July 27, 2015 at Bradford Village West. He was born April 30, 1938 in Forsyth County to the late Pansey and Homer Dowell. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dowell was preceded in death by five siblings. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Joy Hill Dowell; son, Bill Dowell and wife, Robin; two grandsons, James Adam Dowell and Robert Darrell Dowell; and one brother, Dan Dowell. A graveside service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 30 at Crestview Memorial Park with Pastor Gary Styers officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 29 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
