Mr. James Donald “Don” Hall, 91, of Clemmons, NC, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022.  Don was born in Henry County, Virginia on April 21, 1931, to the late Paul Irvin Hall, Sr. and Ella Kate Phibbs Hall.  He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.  Following his honorable discharge, Don attended Virginia Tech, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.  He went to work for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, retiring after 35 years of service.  Don was an active member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem for 63 years.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Campbell Hall and a brother, Paul Irvin Hall, Jr..  Don is survived by his loving wife, Ellen Bruce Hall; son, Stephen David Hall (Jana); granddaughter, Angela Margaret Hall; daughter-in-law, Jamie Shipley Hall-Erath; and a niece, Sandra Hall Thompson.  A service to celebrate Don’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, July 3, 2022, in the chapel at Centenary United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem with Rev. R. Craig Ford officiating.  A committal service will follow in the church columbarium.  All attendees may access the chapel by parking and entering the church using the entrance on 4 ½ Street.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Centenary United Methodist Church, 646 West 5th Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.  Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel is serving the family of Mr. Hall.  Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
