James Carlton ""J.C."" Crim, 86, of Winston-Salem, passed away Friday, September 3, 2010 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, son of the late Gertrude Pegram and James Adrian Crim. He was retired from Southern Bell Telephone with 34 years of service. His life was spent in Forsyth County, with three years of service in the U.S. Army in The European Theater of Operations. He was a member of Central Terrace United Methodist Church, The Telephone Pioneers and Disabled American Veterans. Mr. Crim is survived by his wife of 61 years, Robena Ransom Crim. Preceding him in death were four brothers, Carlos, Cleo, Hartford, and Paul Crim. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, September 6, 2010 at Forsyth Memorial Park with Rev. Dr. Robert T. McLawhom officiating. The family will receive friends 6-7:30 PM Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
