Mr. James ""Jim"" Curtis Cline, Jr., 76, of Clemmons died Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born January 27, 1936 in Winchester, VA, the son of the late, James C. Cline, Sr. and Freece Sturgilll Cline. He grew up in Boone, NC. After service in the US Army, he attended Appalachian State University where he met and married Linda Gail Hiatt of Winston-Salem. After graduation from ASU, he worked for Burlington Industries in Chattanooga, TN. In 1962 he moved back to Boone where he owned and managed the Western Auto Store until 1982. He then owned Cline Real Estate Company, specializing in rental property and commercial real estate management and sales until retirement. He and his wife then moved to Clemmons to be nearer their children and grandchildren. He loved playing golf regularly with many good friends at Salem Glen Golf Club in Clemmons. In addition to his loving wife, Linda of 54 years, he is survived by two daughters, Joanna Rene Williams and husband, Stuart and Monica Freece Casey and husband, James of Winston-Salem; one son, James Curtis Cline, III and wife, Carla of Hendersonville; five granddaughters, Joanna, Christina, and Miranda Williams and Katie and Claire Casey; two sisters, Janie Cape of Bullard, TX, Linda Stevens and husband, Bob of Jupiter, FL ; one brother, Larry Cline and wife, Frances of Greensboro; a sister-in-law, June Montsinger; a sister in law and brother in law, Jim and Johnsie Faircloth; and a brother in law and sister in law, Andy and Sandra Hiatt. The funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 1`:00 PM at Centenary United Methodist Church in Clemmons with the Rev. Roland Barnhardt and Rev. Richelle Sampl officiating. Mr. Cline will lie in state in the church 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Centenary United Methodist Church Bldg. Fund, 5280 Hampton Road, Clemmons, NC 27012 or to Kate B.
