James Ronnie Chatman

Mr. James Ronnie Chatman, 58, passed away unexpectedly at his home Saturday, May 1, 2010. He was born November 1, 1951 in Rockingham County to James Ross and Lavalla Flynt Chatman. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, and brother. He cherished his only grandchild, Tyler. Preceding him in death was his father, James Ross Chatman and grandparents, Monroe and Maggie Chatman and Roba and Lettie Flynt. Surviving is a daughter, Kelly Ann Chatman; son, James Timothy Chatman; grandson, Tyler Scott Chatman; mother, Lavalla Owenby; sister, Brenda Chatman Parks and husband Kent; four nephews, J.R. Shore and wife Amy, Jody Shore, Allan Parks and wife Molly, and Brian Parks; also surviving are close family and friends. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Willow Oak Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Clifford Willis officiating. There will be no formal visitation.
