Mr. James Morton Baity, 92, of Winston-Salem passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born July 30, 1918 in Yadkin County to Isaac Shobert and Merlie Caudle Baity. Mr. Baity retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company in 1980 with 35 years of service. He was also a veteran of U.S. Air Force serving during WWII. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nellie Reynolds. Surviving is wife of 63 years, Helen Caudle Baity; a sister, Nancy Hemrick, of Booneville: and a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2: 00 p.m. Saturday at Peace Haven Baptist Church with Rev. Nathan Parrish and Dr. Ray Benfield officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
