James Parsons

Mr. James Albert Parsons, 73, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center, surrounded by his family. He was born May 19, 1948, in Forsyth County, the son of Albert and Ada McCollum Parsons. He retired from R.J. Reynolds with over 36 years of service. James enjoyed playing pool, refinishing furniture, working on lawnmowers, and listening to country music. He was a “one of a kind” person who loved people and was always smiling. James was devoted to his God and his family, and was preceded in death by his parents and grand dog, Tucker. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Brenda McBride Parsons; his daughter, Tammy Parsons of Walkertown; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lesa and James Turner of Mayodan; his grand dog, Patton, and grand cat, Schuyler. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Mr. Wayne Newkirk officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, Walkertown.
