Jake Davis Tedder, 93, passed away on August 11, 2023. He was born on January 3, 1930, in Mount Gilead, NC to the late Frank P. and Mattie W. Tedder.  After serving in the U.S. Army, Jake attended Pfeiffer Junior College. He then obtained his undergraduate business degree from UNC- Chapel Hill followed by a MS in Education from UNC-Greensboro.  Jake started his career in the airlines business. He later owned a furniture business (Greensboro) prior to beginning his 29 years of teaching at Forsyth Tech in Winston-Salem.  He also wrote several textbooks for utilization in his business classes.  Jake was preceded in death by his brothers, Franklin Tedder, Albert Tedder, Walter Tedder and John Tedder; and his sisters, Doris Crump and Rachel Ross.  Jake is survived by his wife, Marcelene; his son, Stan Tedder (Melinda); granddaughter, Cyndi Clark (Kevin); two great-grandsons, Hunter Clark (Sarah) and Walker Clark; two great-great granddaughters, AJ and Emma Clark; and numerous nieces and nephews.  The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Clemmons Village I for their outstanding care of Jake during the past several years. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Westlawn Gardens of Memory, with Rev.
