Winston-Salem Mrs. Jacquelyn Joyner Harrison, 83, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born September 27, 1930 in Port Wentworth, GA to the late Percy and Irene Cummins Joyner. Mrs. Harrison was a member of Trinity Moravian Church where she sang in the choir and played in the bell choir. She was a member of the International Champion Hallmark's Quartet and spent many years singing with the Sweet Adelines. She was an avid bridge player and teacher. Over the past few years she actively participated in activities at her home in Homestead Hills. Preceding her in death was her husband, Bruce S. Harrison. Surviving are a son, David Harrison (Carla) of Atlanta and a daughter, Jill Cox (David) of Gladstone, MO; two grandchildren, Caroline and Richard Cox; brother, Slade Joyner (Kitty) of Charlotte; also surviving are several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Trinity Moravian Church with Rev. John Jackman officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Moravian Graveyard. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Moravian Church, 220 E.
