KERNERSVILLE - Jacqueline ""Jackie"" Harrell Walker, 52, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born September 10, 1955 in Forsyth Co. the daughter of Shirley Harrell Robertson and the late Joe ""Pete"" Robertson. Jackie was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church. Her passion was volunteering in the church nursery working with all the babies. She was a former employee of Royal Cake Co. (Flowers Bakery). In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Allie P. Harrell. In addition to her mother, surviving are her husband of 34 years, Jerry Walker; her ""Snickerdoodle"" Cocoa Montana; two sisters, Pam Robertson, and Lisa Marshall; a brother, Timmy Robertson; nieces and nephews, Joseph ""Joe"" and Timothy Robertson, Derek Goins, Brittany, Jacob, and Megan Marshall; two God-Daughters, Lori Cromer and Jill Nelson; and a very special friend, Angie Smith. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Saturday August 16, 2008 at Gospel Light Baptist Church by Dr. Bobby Roberson, the Rev. Frank Shumate, and the Rev. Larry Easler officiating. Entombment will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday, August 15, 2008 at Hayworth Miller Cain Funeral Home in Kernersville. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 5005 LBJ Freeway Suite 250, Dallas, TX 75244 or Gospel Light Baptist Church, 890 Walkertown- Guthrie Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
