Mrs. Jacqueline "Beanie" Dills Cromer, 87, passed away at her home on August 26, 2018. Beanie's prayer has been answered; she has gone to be with her Lord and Savior. For this we rejoice. She was born July 24, 1931 to Mary Blanche Dills and Claude Jackson Dills, Sr. Beanie worked briefly at RJ Reynolds and then was a co-owner of Westmoreland's Grocery. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clington "Snook" Aldene Cromer in 1966, a grandson, Garrett Wayne Cromer, a sister, Zora "Snookie" Dills Stewart, a brother, Claude Jackson Dills, Jr. and her Mother-in-law Helen Cromer Reed,. She is survived by her children, David Cromer of Rural Hall, Stanley Cromer of Winston-Salem, and Margaret Lankford (Stan) of Germanton; grandchildren, Jacqueline Morris (Josh), Kendra Smith (Brenden), and Emily Elizabeth Lankford; great grandchildren, Abigail Garrett, Eliott Wayne, and Brayden Cromer; sister-in-law, Bonnie Dills; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Darlene Houck; and cousins, including one very special to her, Tot Hailey. "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." 2 Corinthians 5:8. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM, Friday, August 31, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall chapel with Rev. Eddie Honeycutt officiating. Interment will be at 10:30 AM, Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends following the service on Friday evening.
