Jacob Fields

Kernersville – Mr. Jacob David Fields, 35, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 28, 2021. He was born on July 29, 1985 in Guilford County to Cathy Mae Phelps Rayle and Mark Lewis Fields. Jacob was definitely a mama’s boy; he had the biggest heart and loved his family so much. He really enjoyed fishing and just having a good time; he could light up any room that he walked into. Jacob played sports his whole life and was an avid Dallas Cowboy’s fan. He also loved animals, especially his chihuahua, Tank. He was a loving son, nephew, cousin, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jacob was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Betty Lou Hinnant and Duke Phelps, as well as his paternal grandparents, Jacob David Fields and Virginia Dare Fields. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Cathy Rayle (husband, Ronnie) and Mark Fields; his aunts, Diane Beasley (husband, Danny), Susan Winfree (husband, Ken) and Toni Webb (husband, Andy); as well as numerous cousins, family, and friends.

A funeral service for Jacob will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm until 2:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jacob’s name to the Guilford County Animal Shelter at 4525 W Wendover Ave, Greensboro, NC 27409.
